2018 Week 4 NFL Picks
Week 3: 7-9 overall, 4-12 vs. the spread
MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT LA RAMS
LAR -7
LAR -7
The Rams have been the best team in the NFL through the first 3 weeks and are home on a Thursday.
Los Angeles 28, Minnesota 17
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AT TENNESSEE TITANS
PHI -4
The Eagles have a better chance of figuring out the Titans' defense than the other way around.
Philadelphia 20, Tennessee 10
CINCINNATI BENGALS AT ATLANTA FALCONS
ATL -5.5
Atlanta is dealing with numerous injuries on defense - also looks like Devonta Freeman will be out again. Cincinnati should be able to split its back to back road games against the NFC South.
Cincinnati 31, Atlanta 24
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS AT CHICAGO BEARS
CHI -3
Assuming Ryan Fitzpatrick starts, the Buccaneers' offense has been more reliable than the Bears'.
Tampa Bay 20, Chicago 16
DETROIT LIONS AT DALLAS COWBOYS
DAL -3
Not much confidence in either of these teams, but maybe Matt Patricia's successful game plan versus the Patriots wasn't a one-time fluke.
Detroit 17, Dallas 13
BUFFALO BILLS at GREEN BAY PACKERS
GB -9.5
Not sure what to make of the Bills' win last week, and generally it's preferable to pick Aaron Rodgers at home.
Green Bay 30, Buffalo 14
HOUSTON TEXANS AT INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
IND -1
Andrew Luck might be able to carry the Colts to a division title if the Jaguars don't get to 10 or 11 wins. He should be able to pick apart the Houston defense.
Indianapolis 27, Houston 21
MIAMI DOLPHINS AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
NE -6.5
Miami has been the much better team so far but one of these weeks the Patriots will get going.
New England 30, Miami 20
NY JETS AT JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
JAC -7.5
Sam Darnold might struggle against the Jaguars defense. And Leonard Fournette is likely to return at running back for Jacksonville.
Jacksonville 23, NY 10
CLEVELAND BROWNS AT OAKLAND RAIDERS
OAK -2.5
Oakland has not been terrible, they have just lost close games. Not ready to pick Cleveland on the road.
Cleveland 13, Oakland 19
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS AT NEW YORK GIANTS
NO -3.5
New York 23, New Orleans 28
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS AT LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
LAC -10.5
The Chargers often find ways to botch what should be guaranteed wins; but if they are any good they have to find a way to win this one easily.
Los Angeles 35, San Francisco 13
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AT ARIZONA CARDINALS
SEA -3
Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett have connected for touchdowns in the Seahawks' first 3 games. Josh Rosen should lean heavily on Larry Fitzgerald in his first start.
Seattle 16, Arizona 10
PITTSBURGH STEELERS AT BALTIMORE RAVENS
PIT -3
This is a game where the Steelers' decision to find an offensive coordinator more to Ben Roethlisberger's liking should start to pay dividends.
Pittsburgh 31, Baltimore 27
KANSAS CITY AT DENVER BRONCOS
KC -4.5
Seems like the Broncos should find a way to slow down the Chiefs at home, but the Chiefs offense has been explosive in the first 3 games.
Kansas City 40, Denver 21
Los Angeles 28, Minnesota 17

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS AT NEW YORK GIANTS
NO -3.5
The Saints’ offense tends not to be as effective playing outdoors. New Giants’ coach Pat Shurmur seems to be getting better play out of the offense and if they lose this game, their next four won’t be any easier. CHANGE (9/28): Even with those previous points, New Orleans is the better team. I’ll keep the Giants at 23 and move the Saints’ points from 20 to 28.
New York 23, New Orleans 28
