2018 Week 5 NFL Picks

Week 4: 10-5 Overall, 8-7 vs the spread

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
NE -10.5
The Patriots bounced back last week against Miami. They will give up passing yards to Andrew Luck but should be able to stay ahead by multiple scores.

New England 34, Indianapolis 17

TENNESSEE TITANS AT BUFFALO BILLS
TEN -3.5

Buffalo has one win and three losses. All three losses were by 10+ points. Tennessee has won three close games.

Tennessee 16, Buffalo 10

MIAMI DOLPHINS AT CINCINNATI BENGALS
CIN -6.5

The Bengals have been consistently good, not great. Last week's Dolphins' loss was a blueprint for other teams.

Cincinnati 31, Miami 20

BALTIMORE RAVENS AT CLEVELAND BROWNS
BAL -3

Better to pick against Cleveland until there's reason not to.

Baltimore 30, Cleveland 23

GREEN BAY PACKERS AT DETROIT LIONS
GB -1.5

With the Detroit Lions, you have a team that couldn't beat the Cowboys last week going against Aaron Rodgers. Taking the Packers.

Green Bay 28, Detroit 20

DENVER BRONCOS AT NY JETS
NYJ -1

Denver blew a lead to the Chiefs last week but played well in the first three quarters. They will want a win going into next week's game with the Rams.

Denver 13, NY Jets 9

ATLANTA FALCONS AT PITTSBURGH STEELERS
PIT -3

It might take another loss or two for the Steelers to get a sense of urgency. Both offenses put up points, but especially the Falcons.

Atlanta 30, Pittsburgh 23

NEW YORK GIANTS AT CAROLINA PANTHERS
CAR -7

The Panthers' defense should be able to contain a Giants' offense that is still figuring things out.

Carolina 20, NY Giants 10

MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
PHI -3.5

The Eagles' defense has kept them in every game - with Jay Ajayi and Alshon Jeffery back, maybe their offense will get on the same page.

Philadelphia 27, Minnesota 21

OAKLAND RAIDERS AT LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
LAC -5.5

Sometimes the Chargers lose games they are supposed to win. It almost happened against the 49ers last week. Oakland might steal this win.

Oakland 34, Los Angeles 31

ARIZONA CARDINALS AT SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Josh Rosen's first Cardinals start will be against the 49ers missing Jimmy Garoppolo. Rosen might need time to acclimate to starting in the NFL and the Cardinals already have a -57 point differential through 4 games.

Arizona 13, San Francisco 23

LOS ANGELES RAMS AT SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
LAR -7

Looked at the Rams schedule wondering if this might be a game where they might slip up. It's the start of a three game road trip and they are coming off of a long layoff from a Thursday night game. Plus they won 42-7 in Seattle last year. Taking the Rams.

Los Angeles 27, Seattle 13

DALLAS COWBOYS AT HOUSTON TEXANS

The Houston Texans' offense is starting to play better. Dallas will want to keep this a low-scoring game but Houston should stretch the field with DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller V. Fuller is expected to play.

Dallas 23, Houston 28

WASHINGTON REDSKINS AT NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Washington has been better than expected this year, especially on defense. But if New Orleans gets ahead, Washington will be unable to keep up.

Washington 17, New Orleans 38
